We welcome Jochen Dorner as the new Head of Business Development at SEMODU AG. The 50-year-old is responsible for setting up the new location in the Rhine-Main area and will drive the further development of the various business areas of the company.

“Not only being able to participate in the development of Semodu to become the leading reference in the field of modular building construction, but also helping to shape it, is an outstanding task that I definitely want to take on,” says Dorner.

Jochen Dorner previously held management positions in the real estate industry, including as Head of Sales of the BauGrund Group (Bonn) and Managing Director of E&G Immobilien-Management GmbH (Stuttgart) and at the construction group Bilfinger Berger as Branch Manager for project development (Frankfurt a.M.) and as Commercial Director and authorised signatory of the Corporate Real Estate Management division and Managing Director of the Treuverwaltung für Haus- und Wohnungsbau (Mannheim).

Project Olympisches Dorf Elstal

"Small Olympic Village" Sold

The “Small Olympic Village” development project was successfully sold to an institutional investor while it was still in the project stage.
On the site of the Olympic Village in Berlin from 1936, we started a unique project development that focused on the construction of 180 residential units. On the one hand, it was important to be sensitive to the historical background, because the site is a piece of contemporary history and part of one of the darkest chapters of Germany and, on the other hand, the consideration of the environment and nature. Modular residential units that are inclusive, elegant and functional are to be built on the area of almost 17,700 m². The team surrounding the architects Studioninedots in Amsterdam and Nebel, Pössel in Cologne designed a project that is particularly attractive for young families who like to live in the countryside but still want to be connected to the capital with its infrastructure.

SEMODU was advised on the transaction by the lawyers Heuking Kühn Lüer Wojtek.
